We live in a world where many people face discrimination because of race, which leads to inequality in education, employment, and opportunities. Prejudice prevents individuals from reaching their full potential and contributes to systemic poverty and social injustice. Racism affects people’s access to resources, limits their opportunities, and creates barriers to equal treatment. Addressing this issue is essential because everyone deserves fair treatment, respect, and the chance to succeed regardless of their background.

Our team chose to focus on racism to raise awareness and promote equality. Education and awareness are powerful tools for breaking down prejudice and fostering inclusive communities. To take action, we created a video highlighting different forms of racism, its impact on society, and ways people can challenge it. Additionally, I contributed by writing a book about inequality on BriBooks, sharing insights and stories to inspire understanding and empathy among readers.

Areas I could have improved include encouraging more interaction within the team and making some of the information more opinion-based rather than purely factual. Overall, this project helped me understand the importance of raising awareness about racism, strengthened my skills in research, communication, and collaboration, and gave me the opportunity to make a tangible contribution toward social awareness.
