WE BELIEVE IN GOOD VIBES ONLY.
Together, let’s speak up for safe sport.
The Canada Games Council (CGC) and 2025 Host Society believe that everyone involved in sport has the right to participate in a safe and inclusive environment that is free of abuse, harassment or discrimination. In short, there’s no tolerance for maltreatment at the Canada Games.
We’re only interested in playing fair, being respectful and keeping the good vibes going when it comes to the next generation of sport.
Together, we can have a positive impact on sport by staying aware, demanding better, and speaking up about maltreatment in any form.

Meet our Mascot - Gusty
The Mascot Program, presented by Canadian AV
• Gusty was created by Michael Tobin, age 8, from St. Bernard’s Elementary in Witless Bay, NL.
• A cod fish that lives in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
• Enjoys all things swimming- diving, synchronized, and freestyle.
• Wears a sou’wester and a yellow rain slicker, a common outfit for fishermen in Newfoundland.
• Historically, Newfoundland and Labrador has relied heavily on the cod fishery, and today it remains a part of our food fishery.
Canada's Official Languages
The 2025 Canada Games is committed to ensuring information and services are offered for our thousands of visitors and participants in both of Canada’s official languages — English and French.
Information in both French and English is available on our website and social media. Bilingual volunteers are always present at the information kiosk and may be dispatched anywhere assistance is required. All bilingual volunteers are identified by neck gaiter featuring the Francophone flag of Newfoundland and Labrador.
In keeping with the Official Languages Policy, all general written communications for the media must be in English and French. During the Games, best efforts are made for oral communications at media activities to be bilingual to respond to the needs of Canadian media. During media interviews, the interviewee speaks in the language of their choice.
Mobile Francophone Pavillion
Between August 9-24, the Mobile Francophone Pavilion (MFP) will be traveling throughout the Games and Festival sites. In partnership with the Association communautaire francophone de Saint Jean (ACFSJ), the MFP will be the place to learn all about the local Francophone and Bilingual community in Newfoundland and Labrador, answer trivia for prizes, and is the ONLY location to get the Official Languages pin.
