CLASSROOM COUNSELING LESSONS
Counselor Calendar- view for lesson calendar
Select a lesson time- Grades K-2 lessons are 30 mins. Grades 3,4,5 are 45 min (may need to select two slots to cover the time needed)
STUDENT REFERRALS
Student referrals to Counselor (by student or teacher)- you may send a student to see me at any time, but you might want to call ahead to see if I am in my office or email for an appt if it isn't urgent. There are counselor passes on my door. If possible, please fill this out (or have the student fill it out). There will also be passes in the front office so students can fill it out if they don't come with one.

Small Group Counseling Lessons
Possible topics include:
K-1st grades Social skills (educational group including personal space, voice volume, taking turns, etc...)
K-5th grades Emotional regulation (educational group; can be different groups for anxiety, anger, sadness...)
K-2nd grades Classroom skills (educational group including listening, raising hand, following rules, etc..)
1st-5th grades Changing Families (Lunch, recess, or after school; for families that have changed due to divorce/ deployment/ death)
2nd-5th grades Friendship skills (For students needing help making friends, will meet during lunch/ recess)
4th-5th grade girls Drama Llama Club (Not sure about the name yet, but it will be a girls’ club that any 4th/5th grade girl can join, possibly 3rd grade by spring, will meet during lunch/ recess/ or after school)
5th grades Academic All Star Club (Not sure yet if I will be doing this. It depends on the needs. Could meet flex time or after school)
Student referrals for counseling small groups:
Chill Zone- as in years past, I am offering the Chill Zone to students needing a place to calm down. If you feel you have a student that would benefit, please let me know. I like to train them on it before providing a pass. The pass may be used once per day, unless you feel it is needed more.
