Year 3

We are delighted to be back together again. The children made the word 'Firies' using their bodies and we used a drone to capture the image. This year we are taking our project to new heights.

We have been grounded again by Covid-19 for another school year. All non-essential flights from Firies National School have been cancelled.

Junior Infants

Our Junior Infants looked at how holidays have changed due to Covid. They planned for their Irish staycations. Covid will not stop us learning and having fun.

First Class

First class looked at how things have changed in relation to local vehicles for example changes in how people travel to school

Senior Infants

The wheels on the bus have to keep going round and round! Children in Senior Infants looked at the difference in the numbers of people that can travel on a bus, now versus pre-Covid

Second Class

Full STEAM ahead. Second Class designed boats for single occupancy to help reduce the spread of Covid. Even a pandemic cannot sink our project.

Third Class

All aboard as Third Class look at the effect Covid has had on our local train station in Farranfore.

Fourth Class

Fourth Class used LEGO We Do to examine different forms of transport

Fifth and Sixth Class

Fifth Class looked at international travel and what has happened to the airline industry over the last few months
