Make your own “Calm Down" Jars

Step 1: Throw some water, glitter glue in a glass jar or even better a plastic bottle or water bottle.

Step 2: Close the bottle and shake it up to watch the glitter slowly float from the bottom to the top.

It is incredibly soothing and relaxing to watch and children can use it at home after a difficult or stressful moment.

Write about the nicest thing a friend has ever done for you. How did it make you feel?

Share this with an adult in your home and ask them to tell you about the nicest thing a friend has ever done for them.

Sing and dance to this song about the things that makes someone a good friend.

What a fun way to help children develop their social skills and learn how to be a good friend.

Can you and your family brainstorm other ways you can be a good friend?
