Biomechanics and Physical Activity Research Collaboration with Neuromechanics Lab
Adapted Physical Education faculty at ODU are collaborating with Dr. Hunter Bennett from the Neuromechanics Lab to examine movement efficiency and physical activity among adolescents with autism.
The overarching objectives of this proposal are to 1) determine the differences in movement efficiency between physically active and inactive youths with ASD and 2) create a model using physiological measures to predict physical activity level. This study is supported by the Jeffress Trust Award Program in Interdisciplinary Research.
We are currently recruiting adolescents with autism to participate in the study. If you are interested, please contact us. More information is below.
