Secretary's report: Web page has been updated with January meeting minutes and contest results

Treasurer’s report by Ron Cota: Bank balance remains stable

Old Business:

Dennis talked about Greg Thomas celebration of life. He is working with Greg's wife on an article for NFFS paper.

Discussion about outdoor schedule. Dennis has updated our charter and insurance with AMA but still needs to sanction our 2024 outdoor events. As has been discussed at previous meetings, we are looking at having the contests on Saturday with Sunday as a bacup due to bad weather. After talking with AMA, we can sanction the events for both Saturday and Sunday and have Sunday be alternate date due to weather only. Dates for contests would be May 11th, fun fly, June 8th and 9th, July 13th and 14th, August 10th and 11th, September 14th and 15th, and October 12th and 13th.

Dennis brought up the idea of go for the record meet where there is no time limit. Due to the size of our field and the fact that many planes could be lost, it was decided this may not be a good idea.

There was a motion to sanction the outdoor events as a 2 day event with Saturday the prime date and Sunday an alternate due to weather only. The motion was seconded and passed.

New Business:

Ken asked if it would be possible to have a fun fly indoor event where people could just get their indoor planes dialed in. Gary O. said it should be a no cost event. Dennis thinks this could be added to the schedule and will look at it for the 2023-2024 indoor season.

Ken asked if we should have indoor events during the day instead of the evening. Nothing was decided on this.

Some people have signs for outdoor events. They will bring them to the next meeting and Tim will gather them. Dennis has volunteered to clean them up etc. so we can use them at our outdoor events this year.

Show and tell: Bill Kuhl showed a 1/2a airplane he is scratch building called a Marcell. Matt Decker showed a peanut he is building.
