New Student Convocation

New Student Convocation

Now that you have registered for classes, the next step in your orientation experience is attending New Student Convocation. Convocation is an exciting online event where you will:

  • find inspiration and support for your education at CLC

  • learn success strategies from faculty and students

  • meet with your new Academic Success Advisor (ASA)

Your ASA will be your assigned academic advisor and will support you from your first day of classes through completion of your academic goal.

All new students must attend New Student Convocation.
Please click the link for more information and dates. Once you sign up click the link to register for this virtual event. You will automatically receive a Zoom link to the convocation on your CLC student email.

Individuals requiring accommodations for equal access to this event, such as Sign Language Interpretation, should contact nsosucceed@clcillinois.edu at least three business days prior to the event.

In preparation for convocation and your spring semester classes, we want to be sure you have consistent access to a computer and internet service. You can check out a laptop and/or internet hotspot from the CLC Library to use for convocation and throughout the spring semester. Visit www.clcillinois.edu/lkl and click the “student technology needs” button on the right side of the page for details.

If you have any questions about convocation, please contact your College and Career Navigator or Kim Rushforth at krushforth@clcillinois.edu
