Writing

Did you know that writing journals and diaries has been around for thousands of years? In fact, that is how we know a lot about what life was like in earlier times.

What is happening here in our country right now is historical. There has never been a time quite like today and when you look back on this, you will definitely have some great stories to tell. No one has ever lived through a nationwide shut down before. Many years from now, people will want to hear from you about your own personal account of what it was like to be a kid during the year they shut down in-school learning for a month.

SO.... what does that have to do with writing, you ask? We would love for you to keep a daily journal of your experiences. Many journals have been turned into novels. Who knows? This may be the first step to getting published...

There is no "right" way to journal, but here are some suggestions to help you get started. Have fun with this. Take these ideas and use what you like and add new ideas as well.

If you would like to have an electronic version of a journal, that is called a blog. There will be a Google Classroom assignment that you can use to put up slides, documents or other tools to create an electronic version of a journal.
