Recommended Packing Lists
This site, from Boys' Life magazine, is a good resource: https://boyslife.org/outdoors/outdoorarticles/6976/scout-outdoor-essentials-checklist/
You can also look at your Scout Handbook, under "Camping." In the latest version, you'll find a Personal Camping Gear Checklist on p. 268.
Mild Weather Packing List
Firstly, it is more than likely there will be a lot of rain, so a lot of fun, but a lot of wet clothes. I recommend bringing multiple sets of clothes, and I've factored in some additional clothing numbers already.
Sweatshirt
3-4 shirts
1-2 Long sleeve shirts
Rain Jacket
1-2 Shorts for the days
1-2 Pants for the evenings
Socks, socks, and more socks. 5-6 pairs especially for this rainy trip.
Dry Underwear for each night
Sleeping Bag
Sleeping Pad
Pocket knife
Day Pack
2 Water Bottles
Bug Spray
Flashlight (WITH EXTRA BATTERIES)
Sunglasses
Snacks (Granola bars or other good energy snacks)
Boots! (Not brand new ones preferably, to avoid blisters. If you have brand new shoes, go out for walks asap in them around your neighborhood, breaking them in. Wear thick socks and stop if your feet are feeling irritated).
Mess Kit (Plate/bowl, cup, AND silverware)
Masks
Hand Sanitizer
Scout Handbook and Pen
(Optional) Personal Tent
(Optional) Fishing Pole
(Optional) Hiking Poles
(Optional) Fleece Sweater
(Optional) Money
(Optional) Pillow (You can always use bundled up clothes)
These types of lists will be gone over during special meetings.
