Royal Wedding 2018: The Wedding of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex

A joyous occasion brought the whole world to watch and celebrate something beautiful. The wedding of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle took place at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on May 19th.

Since announcing their engagement in November 2017, the world has been buzzing with excitement and curiosity. Meghan Markle isn’t the typical royal, as she has been married before (divorce isn’t taboo in the royal family anymore, however it is unusual). Markle was also an actor on the show Suits, a profession in which she had to give up once marrying into the royal family.

Not everyone is the happiest about the wedding, the cost of security alone is 94% of the incredibly expensive wedding (42.8 million dollars) of which, 40.1 million was spent on security. The issue is that the money that is being spent on security is paid by the public’s tax money leading to criticism on the use of public funds to pay for a wedding.
