November 2021

Welcome to our November Parent Council Newsletter

We hope you all had a good October break and the children are ready to enjoy our next term to Christmas.

Due to the continuing covid-19 restrictions, the Parent Council are not sure if we will be able to hold our usual fundraising discos and similar events this session, so please contact us if you have ANY ideas which we could use to raise money to support the school!!

We are resuming our fundraising activities, however, we will not be able to hold a Disco at the school until sometime in the New Year. The Hallowe'en Hamper on Wednesday 27th of October was a HUGE success! Well Done to our 3 winners and thanks to everyone who bought a ticket - we made the grand total of £239.55!!!

For out next fundraising we are having a dress backwards Nonsense in November on Friday 12th November!

Our next PC meetings are online on Zoom on:

All Parents are very welcome to attend.

Please email us or use our Contact us form and we will send you out the Zoom meeting link just before the meeting.

The school's new communication app is up and running!

Search on your App Store for School App for Parents and input the school name - Bankhead Primary School Knightswood.

Then you should be up and running - it's that easy!

The school have agreed to all parents receiving a 5 minute phone call about their child's learning during November.

All parents should have had a letter home with the agreed dates and a choice of time slot.

If you have not received this letter, or need any help then please contact the school.

We are hoping to engage more of our parents who do not have English as their first language in the life of the school and the Parent Council. To do this we will be asking for parents to help to translate short documents into as many languages as possible.

If you are able to help then please contact us on bankheadparentcouncilgcc@gmail.com.
