Resources

The curriculum we use at CMS is Big Ideas Math. Students are given a textbook along with a Student Record and Practice Journal. The notes that we use in class are taken from the textbook. This is returned at the end of the school year.

The Record and Practice Journal is used daily for activities and practice problems. Pages can be removed from the journal and turned in once completed.

The textbook can be found online. This is a great alternative to having students carry home a heavy textbook in the backpacks. Please visit bigideasmath.com to access the online resources. Students have a username and password for this site.

During class, students use this form to help take organized notes. It is HIGHLY recommended that students keep these notes in their green math folder until the end of the school year.

I allow students to use these notes during quizzes and they are an excellent tool to study when preparing for upcoming tests.

If students have homework, these notes are also a helpful resource in completing work done outside of the classroom. There are examples worked out in class along with key ideas, rules, formuals, etc. that are helpful in completing practice problems.
