Prime Time

Prime Time is a class that gives our students an opportunity to read for 20 minutes and to study/complete assignments for 20 minutes. At the beginning of class, students get their reading folder and fill out a reading log sheet. When reading time is over, student complete the reading log and return the folder to the basket. At this time, as a class, we go through their agendas, discussing any upcoming tests/quizzes they might have and we determine if any student has work for any class that needs to be finished.

Prime Time is also a good time to take AR tests on their chrome books.

Students can earn up to 10 points per week based on the following criteria:

• Student fills out reading logs and read during the time given to work towards their AR goal.
• Students are on task during study/work time.
• Students come to class prepared with all materials for reading and studying.
