Kindergarten Teacher
How long have you been teaching? 7 years
What is your favorite Book/Author? The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo
Favorite Movie? Fantastic Mister Fox
Favorite Song? Green and Gold by Lianne La Havas
Do you have a pet? Yes! Dexter is our black Labrador Retriever. He is 5 years old.
What is your hobby? Gardening and Baking
What's your favorite thing about teaching? I love seeing my students come to school every day! Their excitement and readiness to learn inspires me to be the best teacher I can be. Richland students are incredible. I am so excited to be one of your teachers!
Some fun things you can tell us about you? I live in Carlsbad with my husband, Joe, and dog Dexter. We love to go on beach walks with Dexy, and take care of all the cacti in our yard. We love to dance as well! If you ever want to join our dance party in my classroom- you are welcome! We dance every Friday before dismissal :)

How long have you been teaching? I’ve worked with children in the field of education for over 20 years, but this is my first year teaching first grade.
What/Who is your favorite Book/Author? Books that support personal growth, professional development, & creativity.
Favorite Movie? Any movie to watch for family movie night with my three kids!
Favorite Song? I love all kinds of music that’s inspired by my mood…indie pop, hip hop, zen, I appreciate it all!
Do you have a pet(s)? Yes! A rescue hound dog named Chance (second chance at life), & two bearded dragons.
What is your hobby? Running along the coast, hiking, traveling, creative writing, event planning…
What's your favorite thing about teaching? Learning alongside one another & creating a nurturing classroom family…Love, laughter, & learning together. We are a TEAM {Together Everyone Achieves More.}. 💕
Some fun things you can tell us about you? I have three children; my son is in 8th grade and my two daughters are in grades 7th & 4th. I’m originally from the Midwest & I’ve lived in London & have traveled to 25 different countries so far. I love to challenge myself & believe that challenges and mistakes are incredible opportunities to help us become our best selves.
