Nonmainstream foreign music stations of Thessaloniki

88.5 "88miso" no motto available

A station with great tradition who was reintroduced in Fm on 2015 (noticed also since 16.4.12 on 88.7 oas per radiofono.gr ) afer an internet only presence for about 6-7years. It is one of the first alternative station in the town started on 90s ad is part of the the Mylos group a place of events group in the outer districts of Thessaloniki with more than 15 halls fr the events, bars , restaurants and more,. a main cultural point of the city and more than 600 events in just 6 years most of them concerts .

The music styles plaid are refereed in their webpage as :pop jazz soul blues and varous other local styles from the whole planet. I can listen also to salsa . They have also RDS but at my reception point its signal is poor that can't activate RDS properly

A relatively old station started on 2005 with alternative music with many producers from 88.5 and reintroduced himself under new management on 20/4/15 and changed their music format to a more 'commercial' model although their product still seems non mainstream.

Their old format as far as i remembered consisted of : electronica, e-pops ,house ,trance etc

Thier new format consists : alternative pops , jazz , strange remixes of older songs that include also Greek and many more music kinds .. As for example to stress on its nonmainstream nature of this station yo can watch the latest 10 songs via their webpage http://republicradio.gr/playlist/ but names that passed the list are Lola Marsh, Calexico, Samuroquai, Black13,One Eskimo ,Mercury Collier,The sounds ,Brenda Dukin and Poolside. A stations employee advised me that they 'play everything' .I must admit that i don’t know any of these names or any other names passed through the RDS shown in my smart phone or even the listing in their webpage .

It is highly ranked at #7 an #10 in eradio and greekradios respectively

Sunhsine 107.7 "music valuable to listen"

Various epop songs and music , ambient and other related replacing the previous project-station named PeIratikos on 2013 which transmitted Greek music .Their audio is the best of the town among with other handful stations. Non companded ,flat curved with the broadest audio response perfect for testing audio equipment. In other words totally vinyl compatible The new project Minima Fm started on 12/6/17 after the owner posted a message in his Facebook page .

Naousa 92.8 now Yellow

Nearly the same type of music sounds with sunshine with house ambient trance and other e-pop kinds aired for about 1.5-2 years till 2016 that has been then given to a volunteer club for Aris (Mars) a football group in Thessaloniki. tten was called as Aris FM that shortly changed to Yellow that its the colors of Aris . Station name Naousa is a city around 70 km SWW-direct from Thessaloniki.
