Excerpts from LoKwan's email re reunion plan:

1) NEW REUNION CELEBRATION DATES: 13th November 2010 – 16th November 2010:

"Several boys visited the current WYK rector, Dr. John Tan, who suggested that a Saturday morning would be more appropriate for our home-coming, because on Sunday mornings, the campus will be crowded with worshippers going to the chapel, & the car-park filled with outside cars.

Heeding his advice & after some discussion, we have decided to advance our celebration function forward by one day, i.e., 13/11/2010 – 16/11/2010. Please amend your appointment & accept our apology for any inconvenience."

2) Hotel accommodation:

"I’ve approached the sales manager of City View Hotel (城景國際) & obtained some information re accommodation for visitors. City View (previously YMCA almost directly opposite to WYK) is now a 4-star hotel conveniently located near the junction of Nathan Rd & Waterloo Rd & charges about HK$1,000/night at current rate, subject to adjustment . It should provide another option for overseas classmates needing accommodation during their HK visits. The registration deadline is by the end of September. I shall dispatch the reservation & registration form next up."

3) Donation to School:

"To repay our Alma Mater in a small way, we agreed that we shall make some donations to the Father Kelly Educational Fund Limited, which provides scholarships & help to those WYK students in need. It is entirely voluntary & no set amount will be suggested (多多益善,少少無區). We shall collect the contributions on your behalf, & WYK will issue the receipts, good for tax exemption purpose in some places. More details to follow."

4) Reunion programme:

"A travel agency is working on an itinerary. Right now it is too much involved with the Iceland volcano crisis & has to delay preparing our programme. It should include a visit to nearby China region from Sunday (14/11/2010) onwards. For overseas schoolmates holding foreign passports, please plan ahead on your travelling documents."
