A flower opens to the light and follows the sun
Like the many things that affect a flower's growth
There are many influences
upon a young woman's heart
She opens her sexuality to the hope of love
Her heart follows what she thinks is true
What is she saying to herself
that makes her give up her virtue?
"He will be my future husband,
so it's okay if we have sex before marriage . . .
I can't say no . . ."
"I won't have to be shy anymore . . .
I won't be rejected . . . I'll be loved . . .
Everybody does it . . ."
What should she be saying to herself
to keep her virtue?
"If we have sex before marriage,
it will bring misfortune to our lineage . . .
I won't do that . . ."
"I'd lose the grace and blessing of our Creator . . .
I'd face judgment . . .
I'd be ashamed . . ."
WE'VE got to teach that lineage is most important
There are many ways to teach what is right or wrong about sexuality
Lineage education makes a difference because it can open up a heart of altruism
Like different kinds of flowers,
A lineage can have a lovely fragrance
- or a foul stench
Love and life come together
- to create lineage
Lineage is more important than love
- and even more than life
It is lineage that makes life and love eternal
Ethical life and virtuous love
will become a lineage blessed by our Creator
