know why ...

WE'VE got to know why sexual altruism matters

"You weep and wail

because He no longer pays attention to your offerings

or accepts them with pleasure from your hands.

You ask, 'Why?'

It is because the Lord is acting as the witness

between you and the wife of your youth,

because you have broken faith with her,

though she is your partner, the wife of your marriage covenant.

Has not the Lord made them one?

In flesh and spirit they are His.  And why one?

Because He was seeking godly offspring."

(Malachi 2:10-16)

To become the image of our Creator,

WE'VE got to inherit His heart

Human life is not limited to physical life,

but continues forever in the spiritual realm.

The purpose of physical life is to develop spiritual life by practicing the same love as our Creator.

Humans have both a physical lineage and a spiritual lineage that is determined by sexual union.

Sexual behavior affects the development and potential of human love and spiritual life.

Humans are the link between the spiritual and physical worlds, and our Creator's personal image.

All things express the character of our Creator,

but humans are meant to reflect His heart fully.

Humans were created to start life as babies,

in both body and soul; we must grow to be like Him.

The process of spiritual growth depends upon the quality of love we practice.

All the universe has been made according to unchanging principles.

All the universe follows the pattern and character of our Creator; it is His outer self.

Our Creator is an invisible being without form, who has life and energy that is eternal.

All life energy that He created depends on the harmonious interactions of complimentary parts.

Our Creator is the oneness of masculine and feminine,

with both a Father's and a Mother's heart.

The interaction of our Creator's duality of character produces His creative energy and love.To create His own children, our Creator divided His own character into man and woman.

To make them His image,

He planned for them to become one through eternal true love.

Oneness is made through heart and sexual union, in both body and spirit.

But, this oneness can be broken by adultery, divorce, polygamy, or homosexuality.

Then, the relationship that gives spiritual life and eternal oneness is also broken.

That's why we fail to become the image of our Heavenly Parent.

To inherit the heart of our Creator,

WE'VE got to have genuine, altruistic love

We are beings with eternal relationships of heart with our Creator as our parent,

with our ancestors and descendants as our family and lineage,

with all of humanity as our brothers and sisters,

and with our one true love as husband and wife.

We have 'free will', but it is not for the sake of freedom itself, and not for sexual freedom.

Free will is for the sake of altruistic love; love cannot be true love if it is not given from one's heart freely.

Our Creator’s love cannot exist in relationships that are self-centered or sexually immoral.

Such relationships will not have the altruistic, parental emotions that reflect our Creator's heart.

All of the universe was made with love as the most powerful force and the ultimate goal.

When this love is altruistic, it is an ever expanding, creative, and life-giving force.

But if love is self-centered, it is a destructive force, causing war, hatred, and suffering.

Love is like a form of energy that can be used for either a

good or bad purpose.

WE'VE got to ask ourselves, "What kind of love do we have?"

Self-centered love:

"I am free to do any sexual act I want to" . . . Only physical stimulation is important.

"I am free to love anyone I want to, without commitment" . . .

Only temporary emotion is important.

"The public should not have any say about my private, personal actions" . . .

Only individual pleasure is important.

Altruistic love:

"I am an eternal being; my sexual actions affect my spirit, my family and my descendants" . . . Spiritual maturity and lineage are important.

"I am a child of our Creator - my love should reflect His love" . . .

Eternal, unchanging love is important.

"My private life is always visible to the spiritual realm and our Creator" . . .

Integrity and responsibility for individual actions is important.

With self-centered love, the direction of love is toward the self: inwardly.

With altruistic love, the direction of love is toward others and our Creator: outwardly.

All of nature was designed with an outwardly flow - each individual is part of the whole.

Thus, self-centered love is against the laws of the universe.
