Description:
Meeting in the I.T. room at Sandringham Court, Lonsdale Ave,

Lots of people have had an 'unfortunate' first introduction to computers.

If you have been 'put off' by having attended a course that went too fast or ‘deflated’ by a friend or relative who said 'Oh, it’s easy, you just do this' and then went 'nineteen to the dozen' pressing keys and changing screens before you had a chance to blink, then it's understandable that you might feel somewhat ambivalent towards them (computers that is, not your friends!).

If that describes you, or if you are an absolute beginner, or someone who feels that using a computer is a somewhat daunting experience, and you are be interested in developing and extending your I.C.T. (Information and Communication Technology) skills in an enjoyably relaxed and 'at your own speed' environment, then give me a ring or send me an email.

If you’ve got a laptop computer you can bring it along.

Meeting in your own home

You might like to consider hosting a Computer Group in your own home (then you don’t have to go out in the rain to get to one!)

You would just need a table and chairs for several like-minded U3A members and their laptops, a reliable broadband connection and a willingness to provide tea/coffee/biscuits (members’ fees would cover the cost of this).

Learning together is a great way to gain knowledge, skills, understanding and confidence in using modern technology. Please phone/email me if you are interested in this possibility.
