Wine Plus (food etc)

 Day:   Wednesday

 Frequency:   2nd monthly

 Start time:   15:00 pm

Venue :   Group Leader's home  - and various

Group Leader:       groups.wsm.u3a@gmail.com

Description:

At our meetings we taste and discuss the merits (or demerits!) of 4 wines, and sample appropriate (or inappropriate!) food.

The cost of wine and food is shared equally between members.  Due to the taxman this is now £4-£6 (including food where provided).

Members wishing to taste more can take bottle remnants away!

Meetings are loosely built around 3 themes:

1. Grape, Region or wine type.

2. Background Knowledge e.g. where to buy wine, glasses choice etc. usually researched and presented by the Group Leader.

3. Food matching and samples tasting.

.The PLUS may be extras once quarterly, such as a meal out, a visit to a wine merchant, a vineyard outing, a summer barbecue etc.

Members are welcome to present a session, host it at their own home, or arrange a visit, though there is no pressure to do so.
