Characteristics
- Males: 23-27 mm; females: 25-29 mm
- Fore lobe of pronotum with strong discal spines
- Humeral angles distinctly spinose
- Subapical reddish spot of corium relatively small compared to E. cuspidatus
Biology
- In domiciliation process (Bolivia), attracted by artificial light
- Has been reported as associated with bats
- Naturally infected by T. cruzi
- In caves and hollow trees with bats; in palm tree Scheelea sp. Related to Coendu prehensilis and D. marsupialis. Found with C. pilosa and T. maculata.
- Nymphs with predator habits
