It gives us great pleasure to invite you, on behalf of ITS America, to join thousands of the nation’s leading public and private sector transportation leaders, elected officials, and policymakers at ITS America’s 20th Annual Meeting and Exposition, May 3-5, 2010 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. This year’s theme is “Connecting Communities through Smart Transportation Solutions.” We will also provide you with important policy insight from government officials and planning insights from leading transportation practitioners.

To kick off the conference, the Texas Senate Committee on Transportation and Homeland Security will convene at the George R. Brown Convention Center to take testimony and discuss issues related to transportation and homeland security. This year's annual meeting will feature some unprecedented events that are sure to intrigue, including an incident management response demo to an 10-wheeler rollover, subject-targeted briefings and tours in the exhibit hall and an entire track of USDOT sessions.

Please do take a moment to check out the annual student essay competition that is held as part of this annual event. I’m attaching an announcement and entrance guidelines that we’d received from ITS America to help you better understand the competition's rules and eligibility criteria. Also attached is a personal invitation from ITS America President and CEO Mr. Scott Belcher highlighting some of the events key programs and the high profile attendees.

As always, if you have any questions/comments, please let me know.
