Rani Ghaida

Welcome to my personal webpage where you can find a brief description of my previous work and projects (before 2015) and copies of my technical publications.

I currently work for AMD as a software engineer focusing on FPGA compilabiity improvement for Emulation and Prototyping applications. Previously, I worked for IBM, Globalfoundries, and Cadence. At IBM/GF, my work was focused on developing software solutions for design-technology co-optimization and database-driven pattern-based design. At Cadence, in addition to supporting memory and IP block characterization software, I architected and developed a stand-alone Cadence software product for the analysis, manipulation and visualization of library characterization data.

I earned a PhD in Computer Engineering from UCLA and received the Outstanding PhD Dissertation Award from the European Design Automation Association. I hold 7 US patents and 1 trade secret, have co-authored 25 technical papers and has given 23 conference talks.
