November Meeting Announcements!

Its time to start the Pack Re-Chartering process for 2015 and so we will be collecting dues for calendar year 2015 at the November meeting. The Pack leadership has decided to leave the dues amount at $50.00 per Cub Scout for 2015. While the popcorn sales results were good and will be enough to allow the Pack to cover a greater portion of event costs, they were not good enough to reduce the dues this year. Because we want all interested boys to be able to fully participate in our Pack's activities, if the dues will be an issue for your family, please contact our Pack Committee Chair, Keith van Iderstine (pack777middlesex@gmail.com) to discuss options for dues payment and/or assistance. In order for us to register your son for 2015, we'll need either the dues paid in full or an accepted alternate arrangement on or before your son's first December Den meeting.

Finally, the Council has opened a "2nd Chance" popcorn sale. The sale is running from now until Sunday Nov 30th. If your family wasn't able to sell popcorn during the regular sale, this provides another opportunity for you to do so. If you did sell popcorn, this provides an opportunity for increasing your total sales that count towards Pack prizes. For this sale, we will not be participating in the "Prize Mania" prize program; however, these sales amounts will be combined with the original sales amount for determining the order of selecting from the Pack prizes in December. All boys who sell popcorn in either the original or 2nd Chance sale will receive a pack popcorn prize.

While the leaders are organizing the popcorn for quick distribution, we are planning on having a visitor from the Middlesex Fire Department during the meeting to do a show and tell and let the boys see the fire fighting equipment up close.

We've got a full Pack Meeting planned for November, so you'll want to make sure to attend! First, we've got a growing list of awards to hand out to boys - we've got belt loops and/or patches from September's Cub Fun Day and October's Haunted Harvest. Also, if your son has finished his Bobcat requirements, please let your Den Leader know by Tues Nov 4th so that we can have his Bobcat ready to present at the Pack meeting.

We should have the popcorn ready for you to pick up at the Pack meeting so you can deliver it to your customers. If you haven't turned in the popcorn money you've collected, please be sure to bring it to the pack meeting. Please be sure to thank your customers for supporting our Pack when you deliver the popcorn! If you haven't seen the popcorn sales results, they're available here.
