Notes:

* The presence of a small hole in the maxilla at the base of the spoon on the right side linked the Maine bird as the same individual at other locations in the Northeast. Moreover, the same bird was present at Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge, Sussex, New Jersey and Orange, New York, 22 July–5 August before being seen in Maine. After departing Maine, the bird visited coastal Connecticut at Stratford, Fairfield, and Milford, New Haven, 15 September–5 October. A bird photographed at Saint-Martin, Quebec, on 7 August was then only about 80 miles northwest of Sebec, Maine, but the images were not good enough to determine if it was the same individual. If it was, it would constitute an impressive 370+ mile flight in two days from Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge. (See the committee's 8th report, Hitchcox et al. 2019)
