“Humbly shews That your Petitioner is married to Catherine the Daughter of Peter Lampman a Loyalist U. E. as admitted by the Magistrates in their Quarter Sessions- and prays your Honors would be pleased to grant her 200 acres of Land—and as in Duty bound your Petitioner will ever pray—[Signed] Geo. Keefer” George Keefer—for his wife Catherine Keefer. Received at the Executive Council Office on 31 Mar 1797 and read in Council on 4 Apr. John Kelly was listed in the Townsend Report of Townsend Township, Norfolk County prepared by Acting Surveyor General David W. Smith dated on 5 Apr 1797 as being recommended by settlement agent Paul Averill but having received locations before, was not accepted by Smith. Kern, John

Upper Canada Land Petition of John Kern dated at York (Toronto) on 11 Jun 1799

“humbly sheweth That your Honor’s Petitioner is desirous of becoming a settler in this Province. That he has taken the oath of allegiance & subscribed the declaration. He therefore humbly prays for such a portion of lands under the New Regulations as to your Honor may appear meet, & as in duty bound he will ever pray.” Received at the Executive Council Office on 11 Jun 1799 and read the same day. Ordered his family is not in the Province. Read again on 11 Nov 1800. Ordered it appears that the Petitioner’s family is now in the Province with considerable property in cattle, recommended for 200 acres on Dundas Street. Killmaster, Elizabeth (Smith nee Stacy)

Upper Canada Land Petition of Elizabeth Killmaster of the Township of Walsingham dated at Walsingham on 5 Dec 1815

“Humbly Sheweth That your Petitioner is the daughter of John Stacey a U. E. Loyalist, that she is married to John Killmaster and has never drawn any land nor received any order for land from the Crown – Wherefore your Petitioner, humbly prays That your Excellency would be pleased to take her case into consideration and grant her Two hundred acres of the waste lands of the Crown and permit John Killmaster to locate the same And your Petitioner as in Duty bound will ever pray” Received at the Executive Council Office on 18 Dec 1815. Notations: It does not appear the Petitioner has had any Land by order in Council. John Stacey the father of Petitioner has been suspended from the U. E. List. Ordered on further research in the Council Office it appears the Petitioner has received an O. C. for 200 acres under the name of Elizabeth Smith 5 January 1802 [Upper Canada Land Petitions LAC “S” Bundle 5, Petition Number 88c]
