bitruncates

Category 7: Bitruncates

Above are sections of 6 of the bitruncates. Gic, ghihi, and gitphi can be considered biquasitruncates. Sitphi and gitphi have compound vertex figures.

The 11 bitruncates have either one or two types of cells and have a disphenoid vertex figure (a disphenoid is a tetrahedron with 2 pairs of isosceles triangles). The vertex figures of sitphi and gitphi are compounds of three disphenoids. The bitruncates are as follows:

328. Deca (decachoron) - cells are 10 tuts, it is convex. It is the bitruncated pen.

329. Tah (tesseractihexadecachoron) - cells are 8 toes and 16 tuts, it is convex. It is the bitruncated tesseract (and hex).

330. Cont (tetracontoctachoron) - cells are 48 tics, it is convex. It is the bitruncated ico.

331. Xhi (hexacosahecatonicosachoron) - cells are 120 tis and 600 tuts, it is convex. It is the bitruncated hi (and ex).

332. Shihi (small hecatonicosihecatonicosachoron) - cells are 120 tigids and 120 tids. It is the bitruncated fix (and sishi).

333. Dahi (dishecatonicosachoron) - cells are 120 tiggies and 120 tis. It is the bitruncated gahi (and gishi). Section above.

334. Gixhi (great hexacosahecatonicosachoron) - cells are 120 tiggies and 600 tuts. It is the bitruncated gax (and gogishi). Section above.

335. Gic (great tetracontoctachoron) - cells are 48 quiths. It is the biquasitruncated tesseract (and hex). Section above.

336. Ghihi (great hecatonicosihecatonicosachoron) - cells are 120 quit gissids and 120 quit sissids. It is the biquasitruncated gaghi (and gofix). Section above, quite wild looking!

337. Sitphi (small tripesic hecatonicosachoron) - cells are 120 tigids. It is the bitruncated gashi and it belongs to the sidtaxhi regiment (in cat. 18). Section above.

338. Gitphi (great tripesic hecatonicosachoron) - cells are 120 quit sissids. It is the biquasitruncated gohi and it belongs to the gadtaxady regiment (in cat. 18). Section above.

The cells can be viewed on the polyhedron pics.
