Fulson's Fusiliers

BACKGROUND: Fulson's Fusiliers started in the Western Combine, as a garrison unit stationed on Davon II during the Second Solar War.

The planet was captured during an Eurasian invasion in 2186. Colonel Fulson defected from the service and took his entire garrison company with him, citing numerous denied requests for additional support.

Since then, Fulson and his unit have gone mercenary, usually working for the NGR and occasionally the SCN or the Western Combine, though only sparingly.

Fulson's Fusiliers are registered with the MRBC.

EQUIPMENT:

C2 Personal Armor: Constructed of a high-strength ceramic/laminate plating, this body armor provides adequate protection against small-arms fire, and poor protection against heavy weapons such as the FA80 heavy machinegun.

Armor Value 4

MOVE: 6"

AN22 Carbine: Type: Personal Assault Weapon.

FIREPOWER: 2; IMPACT: D10

The AN22 is a reliable, 7mm carbine with semi-automatic and burst-fire capability.

AN25 Automatic Support Weapon: Type: Squad Support Weapon.

FIREPOWER: D8; IMPACT: D10

The AN25 is a fully automatic, hopper-fed support gun chambered in the same 7mm round used by the AN22 carbine.

FA80 HMG: Type: Pintle-Mount Support Weapon.

FIREPOWER: D10; IMPACT: D12

The tri-barrel FA80 fires a 13mm round at 3,600 rounds/minute. A short burst from this weapon can punch through powered armor and light combat vehicles, but is unreliable against common Infantry Fighting Vehicles or Armored Personnel Carriers.

F82 Marksman Rifle: Type: Conventional Sniper Rifle.

FIREPOWER: D8; IMPACT: D10

Conventional 7mm Marksman's Rifle.

ORGANIZATION:

Total Strength: 12 Officers, 12 armored units and 136 Other Ranks (182 total troops).

The Fusiliers are organized into two Sections (Fox and Hound). Each Section is detailed as such:

Squadron Headquarters (2 Officers, 6 Other Ranks)

Commanding Officer, Comms/EW Specialist, Medic, Ops NCO, and a security element of four troopers, all but one man armed with the standard AN22 rifle. One AN25 SAW included.

Squadron Support Section (1 Officer, 15 Other Ranks)

Each detachment is provided with a ‘Slider’ grav Sled for transport. Weapons are standard AN22 with each sled mounting a detachable FA80 HMG for local protection. Two soldiers armed with IAVR tubes.

Section HQ (1 Officer, 5 ORs)

The Support Section HQ is composed of the Section Commander (usually a Sergeant); a medic; a Signaller and three FO trained troopers.

Light Air Defense Detachment (5 ORs)

The LAD detachment carries two Starfire Surface to Air Man Portable Missile Launchers with a manning

of a Corporal as Detachment Commander and two troopers per Starfire.

RAM Mortar Detachment (5 ORs)

The Mortar Det consists of two light RAM tubes with a similar manning to the LAD Det.

2 x Armored Lance (6 tanks each)

6 x M4A1 GEV, one being an M4A2C command variant.

Recon Troop (1 Officer, 23 Other Ranks each)

Troop HQ (1 Officer, 5 ORs)

Six men including the Troop Commander, Troop Sergeant and four troopers two of which are sniper trained and issued the F82 as operations require. All others carry the AN22. A specialist Signaller is not required due to the improved sensors built in to the Recon Drone. Essentially the Troop HQ can function as a fourth Recon Patrol.

3 x Recon Patrols (6 ORs each)

Each Recon Patrol has six men including Patrol Commander, Medic and four troopers each carrying the AN22.

Rifle Command (1 Officer, 5 ORs)

3 x Rifle Squads (6 ORs each)

Each squad armed with AN22 rifles. One soldier in each squad is armed with an AN25 SAW.
