2. VRA/URL: "The landowners of Aboadze are said to have migrated southward on hunting expeditions and settled at the village of Dwomo. 2.5 km off the main Accra-Takoradi road in Inchaban. Aboadze started as a hamlet with the name Akuraban (meaning hamlet) and was predominantly settled by migrant fishermen from surrounding areas such as Elmina, Mankessim, Sekondi. The early development of the village was severely impacted by an epidemic ('Aboadze', is a corrupted Fante word meaning 'subsided', in reference to Ihe epidemic)."
