4 - Verbs

Let’s go back to imagining your classroom. Are the students doing anything?

The students could be:

Laughing, shouting, talking, listening, standing up, sitting down – ACTIONS

They could think, believe, feel something – STATES

And there could be EVENTS happening, eg

It’s raining, it’s snowing, etc

These are all VERBS.

The text contains examples such as:

Learn, begin, be, are, study

Here’s a sentence from the text:

In other words, the teacher has to change her methodology, and find other ways to help students learn (6).
