"GAME TIME"

GENERAL RULES

All exhibitors are requested to read the rules of this schedule carefully.

1. Design classes are open to Arkansas Federation of Garden Club members only and horticulture is open to any amateur grower.

2. Pre-registration is required in all classes.

3. Entries will be received Thursday, June 10, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and Friday , June 11, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. All exhibits must be left in place until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 12th. After that time, all exhibits must be removed by 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 12th. All exhibitors must remove exhibits and are asked to help with the dismantling of the show.

4. All entries must be passed by the Classification Chairman and initialed before the exhibitor is free to leave. The Classification Committee reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not meet schedule requirements. If the entry cannot be made to meet requirements, it will be placed and marked “Not for Competition”.

5. Judging will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2010.

6. Judging will be strictly in accordance with the rules of NGC, Inc. for a Standard Flower Show as determined by the Handbook for Flower Shows, 2007 revised edition. Judging will be done by Nationally Accredited Flower Show judges. The Standard System of Awarding will be used. The decision of the judges will be final and they may withhold an award at their discretion. Only required personnel will be allowed in the show area during judging.

7. “VILLAGE VISTAS” will be open to the public free of charge from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010.

8. Care and protection of all entries will be taken, but neither the Bella Vista Garden Club nor the Bella Vista Community Church will be responsible for loss of or damage to exhibits.

9. Emphasis is on FRESH PLANT MATERIAL.

10. NO ARTIFICIAL PLANT MATERIAL WILL BE ALLOWED in any division of the show.

11. No plant materials on the Arkansas Endangered or Threatened Plant list may be used in any division of the show. The Arkansas Heritage Commission lists these four plants: Geocarpon minimum, Geocarpan; Lindera melissifolia, Pondaberry; Ptilinimum nopdosum Harperella; Trifolium stoloniferum, Running Buffalo Clover.
