Automatic Control System (ACS)

This course aims to equip students the fundamental knowledge of automatic control systems (limited on Linear Time-Invariant Systems (LTI)), as follows:

  • Basic components of an ACS.
  • Mathematical models of ACS including transfer functions, block diagram, signal graph and state-space equations.
  • Typical methods to investigate stability and quality of the ACS in the time domain and frequency domain.
  • Basic methods to design linear controllers for the ACS to achieve quality targets.
