  • Properly Attribute OER resources

  • Reflect on your Go Open, Go Free Using OER experience

In your at-home activity, you practiced by posting your own attribution. In this session, you will get more practice attributing resources. We will then review your questions and concerns from Week 2 and discuss your reflections.

Activity 1: Review Attribution At-Home Work

  • In pairs, you will review your partner's posted attribution in Slack. Verify your partner correctly attributed his/her resource. Offer suggestions if you see something missing.

Activity 2: Attribution Builder

Now that you can correctly attribute a resource, we would like to introduce you to the Attribution Builder by OpenWA

Activity 3: Attribution Practice

Let's practice. Below you have three resources. Each resource is linked back to it's original. With your partner, correctly attribute each resources. We will review it as a group.

Negative FeedbackA negative feedback system has three basic components (Figure a). A sensor, also referred to a receptor, is a component of a feedback system that monitors a physiological value. This value is reported to the control center. The control center is the component in a feedback system that compares the value to the normal range. If the value deviates too much from the set point, then the control center activates an effector. An effector is the component in a feedback system that causes a change to reverse the situation and return the value to the normal range.Negative Feedback Loop
Figure 1. In a negative feedback loop, a stimulus—a deviation from a set point—is resisted through a physiological process that returns the body to homeostasis. (a) A negative feedback loop has four basic parts. (b) Body temperature is regulated by negative feedback.
