Hairspray Cast and Crew List

CONGRATULATIONS CAST AND CREW OF HAIRSPRAY! 

 Yes, the moment you’ve all been waiting for is here! We are super excited for this blockbuster musical as we have 130 blockbuster cast and crew members to go along with it!  We will have an ALL-CAST and CREW meeting THIS FRIDAY, January 29 right after school in the theater.  All rehearsals run until 4:30.  Please let me know if you cannot attend.  We will be working to learn the music next week so ALL cast is called EVERY DAY next week.  After that, we will be moving into choreography and drama, and then we’ll circle back to the music.  The calendar has been updated to reflect this and we will update the calendar with future rehearsals as soon as possible.

Below is the casting list.  If your part says ENSEMBLE, please know that we have many lines (both speaking and solo) that we still need to designate to individuals.  We will be making these decisions during rehearsals over the next few weeks.  How do you get those lines?  Be present, be focused, be engaged and show us what you can do (please don’t email and ask).  We also have not cast the DYNAMITES yet, but Mr. Hawthorne will be forming that trio as we move forward.  There are many ensemble groups that we will be dividing the ensemble into, including: Citizens of Baltimore, Mothers & Daughters, Girls in Gym Class, Kids, Black Ensemble & Teens, Mr. Pinky’s Staff, Fans, etc.

Please be sure to turn in your activity fee (check for $60 made out to South View Middle School with DRAMA on the memo line) sometime this week or next.  You can simply put it in my mailbox in the front office or drop it off at my office (310) or classroom (314).  Please just let me know if you need a scholarship.  Also, if your parents have not filled out the parent permission form, this needs to be done as soon as possible.  Click HERE for the link.
