EdPuzzle
EdPuzzle
I decided to try out EdPuzzle. I have used it as a student a few times and I have really liked it. Edpuzzle is a very straightfoward program that teachers of all subjects can use. EdPuzzle is a video tool in which you can add questions at specific points throughout the video. It's better than giving a quiz at the end because they can forget certain aspects. To me, this program reminds me of fill in notes because you fill in the questions as you go. The students can easily keep watching the sections over again until they find their right answer. I think EdPuzzle is a great tool when showing videos to the class. It is way more interactive this way. I decided to use Gerrymandering because this a good resource if I ever teach government. Gerrymandering is very important to know because it effect who ends of getting elected. Edpuzzle is great for learning because it is very self paced and you can watch it over and over again. I can add notes whereever throughout the video so I can clear up some confusion if specific ideas have not been taught yet.
The first colum shows what the district looks like without any lines. The second one shows how the district would look horozontially. Green would win because they have the majority in all the districts. The third one is the interesting one. Drawing the lines the way they did make it so the yellow have the majority even though only 40% of them want yellow. This is how Gerrymanding can change the out come of the elections.
