My name is Wendi Harrison, and this is my second year teaching fourth grade. I began my teaching career in OPS after receiving my Bachelors Degree from UNO. I taught for seven years in OPS before I stayed home to raise my three children. Their names are Taylor (30), Blake (25) and Kelsey (22). I returned back to my teaching career as a substitute in 2016. I moved to Yutan with my three children in 2017, and began subbing at Yutan Elementary. I received my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction in May, 2024. I am currently working on endorsements in Reading and Writing Instruction, and Reading Specialist through Wayne State. We have three dogs-Oakley, Delilah, and Queso. I LOVE animals, and my students hear a lot of stories about my dogs. I am an advocate for rescuing and adopting dogs. We also have a horse, Galaxy, who is currently a therapy horse at HETRA in Gretna. In my free time, I love to spend time with family and friends, read, and bake. My kids and I are huge Pittsburgh Penguins fans, and I also love coffee!
