GCSE results will be published on Thursday, August 21st 2025. You will be able to collect your results from school between 9:00am and 12:00pm.
If you can't come and collect your results, you can:
Call the school - 01745 582611
Ask a friend / relative - a friend or relative can collect your results for you, but they must have a letter giving your consent.
Post - please leave a stamped, addressed envelope at reception.
Enquiries about Results
Following the publication of results, the examination boards offer a number of services if you are concerned about your result. You should discuss your concerns with the subject teacher and your parents before applying.
This is not a free service - please discuss and consider carefully if you want to apply. Fees are charged per paper (so if there is more than one paper for a unit, both papers will be charged).
Service 1: Clerical check (checking that marks have been calculated correctly)
Service 2: Clerical recheck (marking review - ensuring examiner has followed the mark scheme)
Service 3: access to script (get your paper back to review)
Subject Leaders will receive a form from the Examinations Officer to identify all requests to be made to the Enquiries about Results Service.
Once an application has been made, it cannot be cancelled - there will be a charge. If applicable, fees should be paid through ParentPay. No script or result will be released until payment has been received.
IMPORTANT - applying for Service 1 or 2 means your mark can stay the same, it can go up, or it can go down. The risk of loss of marks means that your written consent must be obtained before making this application. If you do not agree with the response to the inquiry, you may appeal - this should be discussed further if necessary.
More information on the EAR process will be available on results day.
Certificates
Certificates usually arrive at the school by the end of November. The school will contact parents when they're ready to collect. Certificates are legal documents - you should make arrangements to collect as soon as possible. If you are unable to collect yourself and wish to send a friend / relative to collect it, the school must be informed in advance.
If you lose your certificate, it is not possible for the school to obtain a copy - you will need to contact the exam board for a 'Statement of Results' or 'Confirmation Letter'. The exam board will charge for this.
