During...
Staff and invigilators instructions must be followed. They are accountable to the examination board. There may be occasions where more than one exam is held in the same room. All care is taken to ensure you will get the correct paper, but you should also take responsibility for checking when you take your seat (including the correct tier). If you're not sure, put your hand up. There will be an exam card on your designated desk. Find your desk quietly and without fuss, and without communicating with fellow pupils.
All candidates will receive a Welsh and English version of the exam paper for all exams (except Welsh Language, Welsh Literature, English Language and English Literature). Answers should be written in Welsh, on the Welsh version of the paper except for English exams - the English versions are for reference only.
If you have any problems, put your hand up for the attention of the invigilators - don't try to get another pupil's attention.
If you are feeling unwell, tell an invigilator - we can't help if you say something after the exam has finished.
In an emergency (eg fire alarm), stop writing and remain seated until further instruction is given. The exam paper and your equipment must be left on the desk, and you must leave the exam room in an organised manner - the invigilators will guide you. You will remain under exam conditions, even though you are not in the exam room, so no communication with other pupils is allowed.
Do not write anything extra, or doodle on your paper. The examiner has the right to refuse to mark any paper that isn't in acceptable condition - you may lose marks.
At the end ...
Remember to check that you have put all the correct information on the front of your answer book.
You MUST remain seated quietly until the end of the exam. When you are released, you must leave the room quietly, and not talk until you have left the area - some pupils may still be completing a different examination.
RELAX! The hard work is over!
