It is NOT possible to re-arrange an external exam, under any circumstances.
Everyone is expected to turn up for every exam where possible. If you arrive at school on the morning of the exam and feel unwell, please explain to the exams team - we will always try to make accomodations wherever possible. However, it is not always possible to make alternative arrangements.
If you are truly unwell and can't attend the exam, you MUST call the school as soon as possible. The Exams Officer will be able to discuss the next step with you.
Sometimes, pupils have other personal problems, besides illness, that affect their exams. Not all adjustments will be possible, but if you have any problems or worries during the exams, please discuss it with the exams officer, your Head of Year or Welfare Team. It is important that any problem is discussed before the exam begins; it may not be possible to help after the exam.
Missing an exam
The school does not accept any responsibility if a pupil misses an exam because they have misunderstood the timetable - MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR TIMETABLE CAREFULLY.
If you've lost your timetable, come and ask for a new copy from Reception. Don't rely on your friends - some pupils may be affected by minor timetable changes but not others
Arriving late
You should take care to ensure that you are not late on an exam day, but we realise that circumstances beyond your control can sometimes mean that you arrive after the exam time; the most important thing is not to panic!
You should try your best to let us know as soon as possible. The possibility of being able to sit the exam depends on the exam in question. Any very late start will be reported back to the exam board and they have the right to reject the paper.
