I saw the Alfa racing at a local event, loved the shape and history of the car. I wanted to capture the scale and true shape of the car. Fitting the engine and drivetrain, with the extra chain sprocket setup became a bit of a challenge due to the true to scale size of the car. The scale is a bit of an issue for the drivers fit too. The most satisfying part of the build for me is always the detail at the end, for example making the gauges look authentic.
Did you recycle or repurpose anything interesting? Kitchen stuff for gauges old chisel handle's for gearlevers etc.
Would you do anything differently next time? This one is to scale, a bigger cockpit would be better.
