Dear Students and Families,
Welcome to the Yorktown High School Clinical Department Page!
Our clinical department consists of Social Workers, Psychologists, and a Student Assistance Counselor. We offer services and resources to support student mental health and wellness. We support students and families in meeting day-to-day challenges, through prevention, intervention, and education in a comfortable setting. Students and families are encouraged to speak with their School Counselor or a member of the Clinical team around issues such as anxiety, stress, depression, peer relationships, school avoidance, transitional support, substance use, grief & loss, parent/child communication, among other topics that may impact their functioning at school, both academically and social-emotionally.
As a first step, we encourage students to contact their School Counselor if they have any questions about accessing resources within the school, or to stop by Room 164 during periods 3, 4, 5, or 6 to visit the Mindfulness Room.
Thank you!
