Interact Club

Members of the York Middle School Interact Club held their first annual "Trick or Treat for Trash" service project. They picked up trash from a York neighborhood the day after Trick-or-Treat. This was the first year the students held the clean-up, with more than 30 participating.

One neighborhood resident sent an email to Mrs. Maling saying,

"Just a note of thanks for the thoughtful act of kindness by the [YMS] Interact group. As a resident of Winterbrook, I'm always amazed by the litter left blowing in the wind the day after the trick-or-treat festivities, and in some strange way looked forward to picking it up while walking my dog the day after. I still walked my dog, but this year was unable to find even one candy wrapper thanks to your efficient and enthusiastic crew. Thanks again!"
