The term ‘collections’ in this policy refers to all resources (print, digital and AV formats) including research outputs and data managed by the University of York Library
‘Access’ means provision to materials which may not be physically held in the library
The Borthwick Institute for Archives maintains its own policies
Overall responsibility for the Collection Development and Management Policy is delegated from the Director of Library & Archives to the Head of Content & Open Research and section managers
The strategic advisory board for Content & Open Research and the Collection Development and Management Policy is the Collections Community group
All staff across the Library are responsible for implementing and adhering to this policy
