The workshop New directions in semiclassical gravity will bring together experts making recent contributions to lines of research related to the semiclassical regime of quantum gravity, including mathematicians, physicists, and philosophers. The aim is to create a multidisciplinary melting pot of ideas to spearhead progress in the field, especially in the understanding of the mathematical properties of the theory, its regime of applicability and consequences for fundamental physics. This is especially relevant at a moment in which mathematical techniques have matured sufficiently to tackle open problems in the field.
