MEMBERSHIP FACILITY USAGE & PROGRAM DISCOUNTS 

The YMCA of Greater Birmingham will extend Citywide Membership Facility Usage Benefits and YMCA program and childcare Discounts for our employees and their qualifying household for the duration of their employment as described below: 

Citywide Membership Facility Usage Benefits 

• Extended to active Staff members: Full Time/Part-time/Seasonal 

• Extended to active Staff member’s household family members  

  • (Grand)Parents, Spouse, Siblings, Dependents (Grand)children—through age 25 

• Maximum of 3 allowable Adult Family Members living in the household 

Lifetime Memberships 

The CEO can only approve lifetime memberships and must include a written memo noting the approval. 

YMCA Program and Childcare Discounts  

Benefits will extend to grandchildren of staff members who are Grandparents regardless of household or dependent status

YMCA Retired Staff 

The YMCA of Greater Birmingham extends any Retired YMCA Staff Member living in our service area Membership Facility Usage Privileges under the same guidelines of active staff members for the duration of their residency in the area.

Camp Cosby

YMCA Camp Cosby is a tremendous asset to our Association. Camp Cosby offers a first-in-class experience for children and teens in a sleepaway camp experience. For over 100 years, Camp Cosby has positively impacted the lives of its campers.

We are proud to offer an opportunity for the children or grandchildren of our Full and Part-time staff to attend camp this coming summer. 

Full-Time Staff Benefit

• 1 Traditional Camp Session (Rising 1st-7th Grade) - per dependent (child or grandchild) at a 100% discount

• 1 Teen Traditional Camp Session (Rising 8th-10th Grade) - per dependent (child or grandchild) at a 100% discount

• Extra fees such as specialty camp or a second session do not receive a discount 

Part-Time Staff Benefit 

• 1 Session (Traditional, Teen Traditional) - per dependent (child or grandchild) at a 50% discount

• Extra fees such as specialty camp or a second session do not receive a discount
