The cover on the left is the one I created. The one on the right is the standard cover for the book. I believe mine is better and more appealing to the audience, to be honest. The cover I designed looks a bit more mature than the original one created by the original author.

Bloom was published in February 11, 2020. It is the first book in The Overthrow series. So the book is 5 years and a half old.
One of the things I enjoy while reading the book is the mixture of characters and their individual upbringings. For example, when we are introduced to the first character, Ayaya, we learn that she is allergic to essentially everything one can be allergic to. Then, when we meet the second character, Petra, we quickly learn that she works on a farm and is living with a foster child.
The second thing I liked about the book is the different challenges that all the characters face, specifically Terze and Ayaya. The first real danger they encounter is the deadly black weed plant that grows seemingly everywhere, making people sick with symptoms like coughing, headaches, and vomiting. However, through that challenging time, they manage to get through it together
Some of the feelings the book evoked in me were excitement, anticipation, and adrenaline. It also reminded me of the Marvel movie Doctor Strange. The reason for this is the amount of action it contains; for example, a fire that starts in a school, where one of the students tries to save another but ends up getting stuck in the fire as well.
There weren't many things about the book that confused me, but one aspect that did was the sudden switches between characters without warning. It becomes harder to read when the narrative constantly shifts to another character's story arc. Other than that, there was nothing that particularly bothered me. What I did not like about the story were the little things, such as the long paragraphs that I find lengthy. Not everyone may feel the same way, but I do
I would recommend this book to people who enjoy adventure and action stories, as well as those who appreciate a deep story arc and rich lore. Of course, if you generally like Kevin O'Neill, then this is a great book for you to read. To wrap this up, I just want to say that the book was honestly really fun to read, especially in class. In my opinion, this is one of the best books I have ever read, aside from Wings of Fire; that series was also quite good in terms of visuals, action, and storytelling.
