This book contains stuff like suicides, sexism, racism and probably more stuff that I forgot about so if you are uncomfortably about those topics then this book is not for you.

Review

The book I'm reviewing is Akata Witch by Nnedi Okorafor which is a fantasy novel about an albino African-American girl who recently moved back to Nigeria with her family and discovered that there is more to this world than she knew of...

Opinion

 Welcome to the part of the review where I say my opinion starting with the romance which I think was so unnecessary and It probably doesn’t help that I don’t like romance in the first place but I hated the romance in this book a lot and I don’t think anything would change in a negative way if the author removed it. The next thing I will be talking about is how annoying and weird I thought some of the children were. I thought it was so bad that my mind deleted some of my memory of the children talking (also the adults aren’t much better in my opinion). Most of the things I've been talking about were negative so I thought I would talk about something that I really like, which is the money system. The money system is where the more you learn the more money you get, which I think is a very creative way to get your characters money and I think this method fits very well with a fantasy theme (I would love it if other books used a similar system). Moving back to stuff I don’t like with how fast It was to get over her condition (for spoiler reasons I will not be saying what that condition is). I feel like they could have made it so throughout the book it would slowly fix but no it instantly gets fixed as a byproduct (why)...
