About
Coding Geometry is an exciting hybrid curriculum created by Steve Swatling that utilizes select lessons from Code.org to teach geometry - but with the spin of computer science! If you're looking for an alternative or fresh way to offer a math course to your students, this is for you. Content includes unplugged lessons for teaching computational and geometric thinking, the basics of computers and programming, game and graphic design, and of course, geometry.
Included are four comprehensive units, each split up into varying amounts of "periods" to pace the course on. For each activity or lesson, there are
Detailed lesson plans including everything from a question of the day to the assessments
A list of required materials/resources
The Alaska Math and CS standards related to each activity
This is a comprehensive curriculum that can be run standalone to offer a math or CS course, or however it would best fit your current curriculum.
Pros -
Exciting and engaging way for students to approach geometry
Students learn both math and computer science skills
