Should I repeat?

Repeating A-Level may not necessarily be easier the second time. You would want to consider the following factors if you are considering to retake A-Level.

  • What will you do differently to achieve a better outcome?

  • Can you cope with the academic rigour?

  • Have you considered the 3Rs?

    • Reasons – Why are you retaking your GCE A-Level?

    • Readiness – How ready are you to retake your GCE A-Level?

    • Risks – What are the possible drawbacks involved in retaking your GCE A-Level?

What are my other options??

You are advised to explore the various options for an education after A-Levels:

Polytechnics have introduced more module exemptions for eligible A-Level students. Students may be granted module exemptions from selected diploma courses, of up to one year. Students can apply to the polytechnics for admission in April 2021 or October 2021 via the individual polytechnics’ Direct Admissions Exercise. More information is available here, or on the polytechnics’ websites.
